Savior Series

A Song for Your Savior

Happy Resurrection Sunday, friends!

He is Risen, He is Risen, indeed!

Like I said in yesterday’s post I’m not going to make this a long post, I just want to list the lyrics to our #saviorsongsunday for today.

Today’s song is by Hillsong called “O Praise The Name (Anástasis)”

I cast my mind to Calvary
Where Jesus bled and died for me
I see His wounds, His hands, His feet
My Saviour on that cursed tree

His body bound and drenched in tears
They laid Him down in Joseph’s tomb
The entrance sealed by heavy stone
Messiah still and all alone

O praise the name of the Lord our God
O praise His name forevermore
For endless days we will sing Your praise
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

And then on the third at break of dawn
The Son of heaven rose again
O trampled death where is your sting?
The angels roar for Christ the King

O praise the name of the Lord our God
O praise His name forevermore
For endless days we will sing Your praise
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

He shall return in robes of white
The blazing sun shall pierce the night
And I will rise among the saints
My gaze transfixed on Jesus’ face

O praise the name of the Lord our God
O praise His name forever more
For endless days we will sing Your praise
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

Let the lyrics of the song speak to your heart today! Because Jesus has risen we have freedom in Him! From ALL things (don’t let Satan try to trick you into thinking you’re still stuck, because you’re not, you’re free and healed!)

Here is the video if you want to take listen:

Additional Scriptures:

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:2-6

I’ll be back tomorrow with a #saviorseries scripture!
